TEACHING VACANCIES

Applicants are invited for the following teaching vacancies for January 2020:

ENGLISH 
MATHEMATICS
HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY
BIOLOGY
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTERS
DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

Watershed College, a Christian school of students from diverse backgrounds, requires the services of suitably qualified teachers to teach up to ‘A’ Level.

The successful applicant will be a graduate of a well-renowned university. Experience teaching the Cambridge International Examinations syllabi will be an advantage. A minimum of five years teaching experience is required.

The applicant should be in sympathy with the Christian traditions and ethos of Watershed College and will understand the culture and commitment required in a full boarding school.

MUSIC 

The Music teacher requirements are as follows: 

1. Degree in Music from a reputable University.
2. Grade 5 theory level.
3. Special skill in solo voice training and choir.
4. Proficiency in:
     a) Piano or Keyboard instrument 
     b) Marimba and Mbira
     c) Music software such as Sibelius, Print Music or MuseScore.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Teaching IGCSE music
2. Offering music clubs such as choir, marimba and mbira 
3. Teaching the whole school hymns in SATB 
4. Preparing for major performances such as NIAA and other local and International music festivals.
5. Organizing and preparing the choir and Hymns for Chapel services. 

 

The posts are available from January, 2020

A competitive remuneration package will be offered.

A minimum of five years teaching experience is needed

The teachers will be required to be actively involved in all facets of boarding school life, including sports and clubs.
