Leader Inauguration

Dear Leaders,

On this wonderful occasion of your inauguration, may God bless you abundantly and give you the strength, wisdom and protection to enable you to undertake the duties and responsibilities that God has entrusted you with, as well as to fulfil your purpose as indicated in Eph 2:10: For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 3:14-21 (NI V)

Paul’s Prayer for the Ephesians

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

In view of this occasion, let us take some time to meditate on these 5P’s of leadership:

The 5 P’s of leadership

  1. Place- think about where you are in your walk with God and where you are going. Also, about your position at Watershed College and where you are going afterwards;
  2. Purpose –think about what you have been called by God to do and how obedient to it have you been so far;
  3. Plan – have you grasped how to do what God has called you to do? Are you following God’s plan or are you walking in your understanding?
  4. Process- think about what you are going through and what needs to be eliminated out of your life in order for you to walk fully in God’s plan for your life and as a leader of the Watershed student body;
  5. Provision- have you become aware of what God will give you as a result of your obedience to His calling and His plan?
