Mrs C. Mpande

MSc Sped (ZOU), Cert Ed (UZ), BSc Sped (ZOU), Dip Ed Sped (UZ), Cert. in Systemic family counselling (CONNECT)

Mrs Mpande brings in a wealth of experience from the education and Nongovernmental sectors totalling 19 years. She is a holder of a Master of Science in Special Needs education from the Zimbabwe Open University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Needs Education from the same university, a Diploma in Special Needs Education from the University of Zimbabwe, a Diploma of Education from the same university and a Certificate in Systemic counselling from Connect. She taught in various schools as a specialist teacher for learners with mental retardation. In 2003 she worked for the Ministry of Primary and Secondary education at the Provincial Education office in the Division of Schools Psychological Services and special Needs Education as the Principal Remedial tutor from 2003 till 2008. She resigned from the ministry and joined the Zimbabwe Open University in 2008 as the Programme Coordinator in the Department of Special Education. She left for the Save the Children Norway in partnership with the Marondera Rural council as the Child Protection Coordinator in 2009 to 2011. She left after the programme had ended and joined Watershed the same year as the College Counsellor cum Remedial teacher a post she still holds to date.
